What Drives Us
Feed the Need Northeast is a recognized 501c3 nonprofit organization with a passion for tackling the serious issue of food insecurity. We do this by combining education, engagement, and empathy into a recipe of team-building and outreach opportunities designed to leave you ready to make a difference one bite at a time.

In Connecticut alone 1 in 8 residents, or nearly 500,000 residents deal with food scarcity on a regular basis.
Nearly 1 in 6 Connecticut Children (16%) deal with food insecurity on a regular basis
88 Million meals are needed in Connecticut alone to close this gap.
How it all started.
Who doesn't love a good PBJ!
A group of volunteers was busy making 500 PBJ sandwiches for a local organization. The room was filled with chatter, laughter, engagement and a sense of purposed. I remember there thinking, "now if only my work team building events were this fun."
The three "E"'s of our mission.
Better team engagement raises worker productivity, lower absenteeism and better community awareness.
Better education brings an increased understanding of facts, stigmas and challenges of food scarcity.
More empathy brings grace, compassion and patience for all.
